BREAD ROLLS IN 30 MINUTES

Can you believe it! Bread rolls in only 30 minutes, that is proving to the baking time.
They are soft and buttery. This recipe is perfect for first timers if learning to make bread.
Do try the recipe!

Makes 8  big rolls and 12 small rolls ( I made 8)
Time: 30 minutes

1 1/4 cups warm water
1/3 cup melted butter
3 tbs sugar
2 tbs yeast
3 1/2 cups plain  flour
1 egg
1 tbs melted butter for brushing

Method

First, mix water, sugar, yeast and melted butter in a mixing bowl, cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.

After resting attach the dough hook and put it on. While it's moving, add 2 cups flour, egg and salt.

Knead the dough by adding the remaining 1 1/2 cups of plain flour. In a case of no machine, you can knead by hands.

Get the dough on the kitchen counter and bring it together. It should be firm but not sticky to touch.

Roll the dough into a long sausage shape and divide into half. Divide the halves further into quarters and like this, you will get 8 cuts.

Roll the 8 cuts into balls and place in the baking dish.  Cover the dish with a warm dry kitchen cloth for 10 minutes to rise. ( I warm my kitchen cloth in the oven for a minute.)

The rolls will rise in 10 minutes time to its double size.  Bake them in preheated oven at 200'C for 10 minutes.

Once the rolls are done, remove and brush the tops with melted butter. This gives glossy look as seen the picture below.

These rolls can be stored in the bread bin or in the fridge for 3-4 days. You can also use this dough for burger buns.
