PANEER SHIMLA MIRCH ( COTTAGE CHEESE AND CAPSICUM )

Simple paneer dish made with capsicum. I recommend using the green ones, the coloured ones make the dish sweet in taste. Spiciness can be adjusted accordingly.

Serves 4
Time: 30 minutes

250 grams paneer cubes
1-2 onions sliced thinly
1 green pepper sliced thinly
1-2 tbs ghee/oil
1 tsp kasoori methi
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp black pepper
2-3 tbs coriander chopped
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tbs yoghurt

Method

Heat the oil/ghee in a pan and saute the onions, cumin and green peppers till translucent.

Add the paneer cubes to the onion and pepper mix and fry till the paneer cubes are slightly charred on the edges.

Now add the garam masala, coriander powder, kasoori methi and the yoghurt. Cook the paneer for few minutes till the moisture is evaporated. Stir in the chopped fresh coriander leaves.

Serve it immediately with chapati or naan.
