NAAN (Instant / Fermented)


                              
Serves 4
Cooking time: 1 hour  to 4 hours

Instant NAAN recipe 

4 cups plain flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbs melted butter
1.5 tsp yeast/ baking powder
Warm water to knead the dough.

Method

Knead and keep in warm place to rise.


Without yeast (fermented dough)

4 cups Plain flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp yoghurt
2 tbs melted butter
Warm water to knead the dough

Method

Knead and let it sit to ferment. 
Yoghurt naan  are tangier in taste .

I prefer yeast dough but I add 2 tbs of yoghurt in it and make the dough.

After the dough has risen well, punch it down and knead. Make 8 equal ball and roll them . Cook on the pan and butter them well before serving.
