DINNER ROLLS



QUICK DINNER ROLLS






Serves 4 rolls / 1 loaf
Time: 45 minutes (kneading + rising)


1 tbs yeast
1 tbs sugar
1 cup warm water
3 cups plain flour (bit extra for dusting)
1 tsp salt
2 tbs rosemary ( any herb of your choice or leave it)
1 tbs oil
2 tbs butter
coarse salt to sprinkle (optional)


Method

  • Mix yeast, sugar and 1/2 cup warm water and keep it aside to get frothy.
  • In the machine bowl or normal bowl mix all the other ingredients. Once the yeast is ready , pour it into the flour and start kneading  by adding more warm water. This should take 8 minutes by hand and 3 to 4 minutes in the machine.
  •                                                         
  • After kneading, keep it in a warm place to rise. Then,punch it down and roll into a log. Cut 4 equal pieces. Roll them into balls and arrange on a greased baking tray. Let it rise for another 5 minutes .

  • Bake it in the preheated 200'C oven for 15 minutes. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle some rosemary and coarse salt. Let it cool down.

Serve these rolls as would like.
