TAMARIND (IMLI) CHUTNEY/SAUCE
Serves 1 to 1 1/2 cup
Time : 5 to 8 minutes
1 cup tamarind pulp
2 tbs sugar
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
salt
1/4 tsp black salt
1/2 cup water
Method
Add all the ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil while stirring. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove from the heat. Let it cool. store in a container.
This chutney/sauce can be stored in the fridge for 1 to 2 weeks and can be frozen up to a month.
